I often have money to support motivated and hardworking students. In addition to a solid foundation in theory and methods, I expect strong coding skills.
Currently, I am supporting the following students at ISU through various sources of funding:
- Srika Raja: Undergraduate RA, funded through Plant Science Institute Fellowship (REU '24 and continuing).
- Aniruddha Pathak: Statistics PhD candidate, funded through NOAA and the Plant Science Institute.
- Hongyuan Wang: Statistics PhD candidate, funded through Plant Science Institute Fellowship.
- Debarshi Chakraborty: Statistics PhD candidate, funded through USDA-NIFA (jointly with Professor Vivekananda Roy).
- Seho Kim: Statistics PhD student, funded through USDA-NIFA (jointly with Professor Vivekananda Roy).
- Thiruni Withana: Statistics PhD student, funded through Plant Science Institute and USDA-NIFA (jointly with Professor Vivekananda Roy).
In the past, I supported the following research assistants:
- An Nguyen: Statistics PhD candidate, funded through USDA-NIFA (jointly with Professor Vivekananda Roy).
- Debosmita Kundu: Statistics PhD, funded through Plant Science Institute Fellowship.
- Abby Bryan: Agronomy, funded through USDA-NIFA (jointly with Professors Pat Schnable and Vivekananda Roy).
- Eva Biswas: Statistics, PhD, funded through Plant Science Institute. Eva took a post-doctoral position at Johns Hopkins University in 2024.
- Subrata Pal: Statistics PhD, (jointly with Professor Ranjan Maitra, through a fund from NOAA).
- Bufei Guo (through an internal fund from the VPR's office and Plant Science Institute).
- Fan Dai: Funded by my startup fund. Fan is a tenure-track assistant professor at Michigan Technological University.
