Teaching Principles
Teaching involves two basic principles: respect and responsibility. The best classroom environment is one that allows exchange of knowledge and ideas in a two-way communication flow between student and instructor. Dr. Dimitrova's teaching philosophy is based on these principles to help students succeed in class by not only learning the material but also developing critical thinking skills. Since joining the Greenlee faculty, Dr. Dimitrova has taught a wide range of conceptual and skills courses, including Multimedia Production, Communication Technology and Social Change, Research Methods, Political Communication, Media Framing, Mass Communication Theory and International Communication. A recent international collaboration using social media was designed as part of a Covering World News course.
