Trained in the geosciences, I spent most of my academic career at Iowa State University working with large databases storing Earth history data, conducting research on how students learn, and implementing research-based practices to improve science education.
I currently serve as the lead PI of the ADVANCE Midwest Partnership project dedicated to implementing and assessing institutional programs dedicated to retention and promotion of STEM women of color and with familial responsibilities.
I am dedicated to education, environmental sustainability, and creating an inclusive learning and working environment.
