Meg Musser, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)
Position
- Associate Professor of Oncology
I am an associate professor and board-certified veterinary medical oncologist at the ISU Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center. I completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in 2010, followed by a one-year rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles, and a three-year medical oncology residency at North Carolina State University. I spent 3 years as a veterinary oncologist at two private specialty clinics in Connecticut before beginning my academic career at ISU in 2017.
In addition to treating patients, overseeing residents and teaching, I conduct research on clinically relevant veterinary oncology therapeutics including grapiprant and toceranib phosphate. I also collaborate with the University of Iowa's Holden Cancer Center Sarcoma Group.
