Gordon Miller joined the Chemistry Department at Iowa State University in Fall, 1990. He served as Department Chair 2002-2004. His research has encompassed Inorganic and Solid-State Chemistry. He continues to teach first-year courses in General Chemistry and graduate courses in Solid-State Chemistry and Chemical Group Theory.

Since 2019, Prof. Miller is no longer taking post-doctoral associates or graduate students into his group.
