Ramsey Lecture Series

Dr. Frank Ramsey, was a Veterinarian, Scholar and Educator. He was Chair of the Veterinary Pathology Department at Iowa State University from 1946-1975. Dr. Ramsey demanded excellence from his students and followed a personal directive of hard work, initiative, preparation and enthusiasm.

  • In 1975, the Frank K. Ramsey Lecture Series was established.
  • In 1993, the college alumni room was renamed the Frank K. Ramsey Alumni Room.
  • In 1995, the Frank K. Ramsey Endowed Chair was established.
  • In 1996, a bronze relief was sculpted in his likeness and resides in the alumni room.
