  • Math Circles is an outreach program that gives students the opportunity to work on exciting math topics. They explore different techniques of solving problems, pose their own questions and work on more open-ended problems. 

  • Sonia Kovalevsky

    The Sonia Kovalevsky Day (SK Day) is an event designed to increase middle school girls' interest in mathematics, assist them in the transition between middle school and high school mathematics, encourage them to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM disciplines), and to develop more extensive cooperation with middle schools in their area.

  • Saturdays June 11, 18, 25 and July 9, 16, 23, 30 Summer 2022. This is a "Math and Movement" program, where math and exercise will be combined. The goal is to get younger children interested in math (and exercise) through puzzles and play. It is summer after all, and they have been sitting in classrooms for a long time this year. 

  • Wednesdays 3:00pm - 4:00pm; September 6 - November 29th. CyMath is a mathematics tutoring program for 3rd grade students started by Iowa State Electrical and Computer Engineering professor Namrata Vaswani in Fall 2020, with help from Mathematics Education professor Christa Jackson.
