Farzad Sabzikar

I am an Associate Professor of Statistics at Iowa State University. My research lies at the interface of probability, stochastic processes, time series, and machine learning. I develop mathematical and statistical methods for systems with memory, heavy tails, and multiscale dependence, with particular interests in fractional and tempered models, stochastic optimization, and modern learning dynamics. I welcome contact from students and researchers interested in probability, stochastic modeling, time series, and machine learning theory.
