Professor Luecke and created and taught two courses in high performance computing (HPC), math 525 and math 424 both are cross listed as computer science and computer engineering.
Professor Luecke is involved in research in the areas of parallel algorithms, parallel tools, performance evaluation of High Performance Computing (HPC) systems, and the evaluation of quantum computers. Professor Luecke has had over 70 graduate students, several visiting scholars and postdoctoral students. He has been awarded over $6 million in grants and contracts with the Department of Defense, Department of Defense, Cray Inc., Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, NASA, IBM, Visual Numerics and Hitachi Data Systems.
