Domenico D'Alessandro
Position
- Professor
I am a professor with the Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University. My research interests is Mathematical Control Theory and Quantum Physics with emphasis on Algebraic and Geometric Methods. I have a graduate degree from the University of Padua (Italy) and a graduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. My research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the Army Research Office and internal grants of Iowa State University.
Education
- Ph.D. Universita di Padova (Italy) 1996
- Ph.D. UC-Santa Barbara 1999
Research Interests:
My research is at the intersection of control and systems theory and mathematical physics, in particular quantum physics and quantum information theory. I study differential geometry, Lie theory and nonlinear analysis and their impact in problems in physics and control.
