Dr. Costabile is the director of the Social Cognition and Perception Laboratory at Iowa State University. She is a faculty member in both the Social area in the Psychology Department and in the Communication Studies program at Iowa State University.
Her research examines social perception and identity, with a particular focus on how narratives are used to understand oneself and others.
