Jingqiang Han
Position
- Postdoctoral Researcher
Jingqiang is originally from Shandong, China. He earned his B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from Shandong University, M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Lanzhou University, and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Nankai University. He then conducted postdoctoral research at UCLA for one year before joining the Zhang group in March 2025. His current research focuses on developing new strategies for functionalizing heterocyclic molecules.
Outside the lab, Jingqiang enjoys walking, badminton, anime, and watching soccer and basketball games. He’s known for often walking an hour home after missing the last bus while immersed in lab work. He thrives on a cycle of ‘contemplation–practice–daydreaming’ and powers back up through sleep.
