Faith Rahic-Seggerman

Position
  • Graduate Research Assistant
I am currently working towards my Ph.D. in the lab of Dr. Stephan Schmitz-Esser. I am interested in implementing and improving upon genomic, culturomic, and bioinformatic techniques to further our understanding of the microbiome’s immense role in animal health. My current work revolves around applying microorganisms that not only increase feed efficiency but simultaneously decrease methane emissions in cattle, resulting in more sustainable and efficient industry practices. Other projects include analyzing the understudied rabbit microbiome.
