Description
From September 2021 through August 2025, I collaborated with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Division on Aging and Disability, through a contract with Iowa State University to support the National Resource Center on Nutrition and Aging (NRCNA). Although the original project was slated to run through 2026, the contract concluded ahead of schedule. The NRCNA was designed to assist the national aging network, Innovations in Nutrition grantees, and other Older Americans Act stakeholders in expanding impactful nutrition programs. Its objectives included providing high-quality resources and education for Senior Nutrition Programs, delivering responsive technical assistance, and offering national leadership to strengthen and sustain the network. My lab group led all research and program evaluation activities, contributing to the development of a comprehensive resource center and helping establish the NRCNA as a national leader and advocate for Senior Nutrition Programs.
