I am from Brazil and got my bachelor’s in veterinary at the Universidade Federal de Vicosa (UFV). During my studies at UFV, I discovered my passion for research which drove me to purse a master’s and Ph.D. degree in Animal Breeding in Genetics. Beach and volleyball are two of my greatest passion outside work; however, after moving to Ames in 2017 (~1,000 miles from the beach!), I have been learning about winter sports such as ski and ice-skating. In my professional career, I want to contribute for the agriculture development through genetic improvement of livestock. Also, I want continue learning and sharing knowledge to make an impact on the formation of the future generation of professionals. Go cyclones!
