My research focuses on nitrogen (N) and sulfur (S) management in Midwestern cropping systems. I study N and S cycling with cover crops in corn–soybean systems using stable isotopes (15N and 34S) to trace nutrient uptake and release by winter-hardy cover crop species. I also lead experiments on N and S placement and timing to optimize 4R nutrient stewardship practices. In addition, I am establishing field trials to evaluate bio-products designed to enhance corn residue decomposition in Midwest agroecosystems.

Fun Fact or Personal Interests:

I enjoy engaging in conversations about science and culture. I like listen to music specifically country music and loves site-seeing diverse landscapes as a way of appreciating nature’s beauty.
