Yidi Shen is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in the Materials Science and Engineering department at Iowa State. Her research interests focus on the computational study of mechanical properties and deformation behaviors of various materials including superhard ceramics, alloys, and metallic glasses. She received her B.Eng. degree from Southwest University of Science and Technology in 2016. Subsequently, she obtained her M.S. degree from University of Nevada, Reno in 2022. In her spare time, she likes hiking and traveling.
