The AGL team and research partners from EBOW (the McMillan lab) attended the 2025 Upper Midwest Stream Restoration Symposium, hosted in Dubuque, IA at the end of February. Pete Moore and Sara McMillan were joined at the meeting by five current ISU students, four of whom presented posters. Symposium details can be found here, and the technical program here. A few AGL alums and former students from Pete's classes were even spotted among the other symposium attendees!
ISU attendees included (from left to right in the photo) Sage Coffman, Anna Bohnsack, Lizzy Prindle, Pete Moore, Sara McMillan, Cynnava McAvoy, and Joey Bergeron. We learned immensely from keynote presentations by Chris Jones, Johnathan Czuba, and Dorothy Merritts, and had great discussions with other researchers and restoration practitioners from across the region.
Already looking forward to next year's UMSRS in LaCrosse, WI. Maybe we'll see you there!
