Pete attended the 2017 GSA annual meeting in Seattle in late October and had a busy week. These were a few of the highlights:
On Sunday 10/22, Pete delivered a talk on debris-covered glaciers of Mount Rainier in a session that was all about scientific advances at Rainier. Park geologist Scott Beason, one of the session conveners, maintains a website about the geology of Mount Rainier National Park, and has posted a pdf of Pete's slides here. This talk summarized Pete's work in 2014 with former ISU grad student Theresa (Dits) Groth and Carleton College Geology grad Leah Nelson, among others.
