The mixed fcc+bct island at the top grows by more than 20 layers while the deposited In is only 2.5 ML. It collects all the Indium in the wetting layer from an area 10 times larger than its own area. The top island has initial area of 2510nm2 and initial volume 5890 nm3 final area 3342 nm2 final volume 22369 nm3. Its volume increases 4-times while the amount of indium added is 2.5 ML. The other Indium, mostly fcc, islands only grow by the amount fallen directly on top of them.
