Kevin J Roe

Position
  • Associate Professor
My life-long interest in the natural world has ultimately led me to a career in the biological sciences. I view my research program as a balance between field and lab work. Since arriving at Iowa State University I have initiated a change in research focus from phylogenetic systematics and biogeography toward a program with more emphasis on population and conservation genetics. In addition to applied research related to the conservation of rare species, I am also interested in processes that create and maintain diversity in populations.

Area of Expertise: Conservation, Phylogenetic Systematics, Molluscs and Fishes
