Position
- Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
I joined the Aung lab as a postdoc in February 2019. I got my PhD degree from Fudan University (Shanghai, China) in 2015. I was later trained as a post-doc at Shanghai Institute of Plant Stress Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Fudan University.
Cell-to-cell communication mediated by plasmodesmata (PD) is attractive to me as they play crucial roles in diverse biological processes, including plant development and immune responses. My main project aims to understand molecular functions of a protein family, functioning at PD. I am also investigating cell-autonomous and non-cell-autonomous immune responses using rice-Magnaporthe oryzae pathosystem.
