My research focuses on the evolution of mutualistic and parasitic relationships of fig wasps and their host fig. Of this, I am interested in determining the evolutionary rate of olfactory gene families in fig wasps and the expression of said olfactory genes throughout development in relation to the volatiles produced by the corresponding fig species.
