This is a graduate course on the principles and methods of systematic entomology, the morphology, diversity, and significance of major insect families, and the collection, curation and identification of insects from local habitats. The course includes frequent exposure to live insects, training in collection methods, and field trips to aquatic and terrestrial habitats around central Iowa.
