David Delaney

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Janzen lab at ISU. I studied age-class habitat competition in the brown anole lizard (Anolis sagrei) for my M.S. degree with Dan Warner at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. I received my B.S. degree from Eastern Illinois University, where I studied population biology of ring-necked snakes (Diadophis punctatus) with Steve Mullin. I am broadly interested in the ecology and evolution of reptiles, with a particular interest in antipredation mechanisms. I have been conducting field experiments to evaluate the impacts of parent-offspring conflict and predator-prey interactions on oviposition-site choice using aquatic turtles as model systems.
