The Exercise Psychology Laboratory at Iowa State University is equipped with a unique array of instruments that enable us to conduct studies in the areas of human exercise science and psychophysiology. Specifically, we have:

- A Lode Corival pediatric cycle ergometer
- A Landice L8 heart-rate controlled treadmill
- A Trackmaster TMX428CP computer-controlled treadmill
- A two-channel ISS OxiplexTS near-infrared tissue oximeter, with cranial and muscle sensors
- A San Diego Instruments SR-HLAB PEC system for the study of startle responses with a photoelectric cell
- A Coulbourn LabLinc V modular psychophysiology system with an assortment of modules (bioamplifiers, integrators, tachometers, ECG, strain gauge, calibrator)
- A Neuroelectrics Starstim transcranial direct current stimulator
- An ActivaDose II transcranial direct current stimulator
- A Tanita TBF-410GS biolectrical body composition analyzer
- A Yellow Springs Instruments 1500 Sport Lactate analyzer
