Imani is a first-year Ph.D. Graduate Student in the Counseling Psychology Program at Iowa State University, having previously received her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a second major in Literature and Creative Writing from New York University Abu Dhabi. Her research interests are culture in pedagogy, mental health stigma, and the impacts of intersectionality on therapy-seeking behaviors. In her free time, Imani enjoys running, reading thrillers, and playing basketball.
