Daejin Kim is currently employed as an Assistant Professor of Interior Design at Iowa State University. He completed his doctorate at the University of Florida's College of Design, Construction, and Planning. His dissertation focused on reducing the risk of falls among older adults through the use of physical environment. Daejin's major research interests revolve around exploring the link between the built environment and the health and well-being of older adults. He has presented at multiple national and international conferences and has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in journals. Furthermore, Daejin has received a Faculty Research Award from the College of Design at Iowa State University and the Kenneth Tremblay Early Career Award from the Housing Educators & Research Association.
