Position
  • Graduate Research Assistant
I am a Ph.D. student in the lab, with a strong passion for insects and their interactions with the environment. I hold an M.S. degree in Entomology and a B.S. in Agriculture. I’m passionate about insects and have an expertise in insect anatomy and morphology. My master’s thesis explored the impact of nanoparticles on the morpho-histology of the Eri silkworm, blending my interests in insect physiology and emerging technologies. I also worked as a Research Assistant on an Agricultural Acarology project, where I gained valuable experience in field and lab-based pest management research.
Currently, my research focuses on virus-vector interactions, with a particular emphasis on understanding the genetic and genomic diversity of Corn leafhoppers (Dalbulus maidis) and their associated microbes, including viruses, endosymbionts, and plant pathogens at both the whole-insect and tissue-specific levels. Apart from science and outside the lab, I have a strong interest in sports, art, psychology and philosophy books.
