I was born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. In 2017, I was awarded a Fulbright Faculty Development LASPAU-administered scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in the U.S. I was accepted at Iowa State University, and in 2018 I moved to Ames, Iowa. I am keen to learn and understand the mechanisms of proteins involved in chemical metabolism.
